Help Us Test the NISMCAA Website

1. From the home page (nismcaa.com), find the Music Competition page and read it. Is it clear who can enter and how?
2. Register a test school (for example "TEST Lincoln High School," representative "Sarah Miller").
3. Start an entry: choose School group or Individual student, and fill in the entry form.
4. Accept the terms by typing the representative's full name.
5. Add a performance video (a YouTube link or a short upload), then click Submit entry for review.
6. Use Track your entry to check that your entry shows up with its status.
7. Download the fillable entry form (PDF) from Forms & Guidelines and check that it opens.
8. Open the FAQ and the Participation Guide. Did they answer your questions?

1. Find the Academic Award page. Is it clear that it is free to enter, and what the categories are (Best Student in Math, Music, Science & Technology, or English; Best Teacher; Best School)?
2. Sign in as your test school and click Start a nomination.
3. Nominate a test student (for example "TEST Michael Davis") in one subject category.
4. Upload a sample evidence file (a PDF or photo with nothing private in it).
5. Add a second nomination for the same student in another category.
6. Submit, then check that both nominations show in the school portal.
7. Visit Student profiles & voting. Does the page explain clearly how voting works?

1. Open the Academy home page. Is it clear what it offers and who it's for?
2. Browse the instrument books and open one (for example, piano or guitar).
3. Try the interactive piano/instruments section. Does the sound play?
4. Open the Beginner course and work through the first lesson.
5. Take a book test and finish it. Did you get your score and, if you passed, a certificate?
6. Go to buy a book, but stop at the checkout page. Don't pay. Did the checkout look right?
7. Find the Music for Every Child (special needs) section and check that it opens.
8. Find how to contact or enroll. Does it work?

1. Open the Tutor home page. Is it clear what it is for students, parents and teachers?
2. As a parent, use Find to search for a tutor by instrument (for example, violin).
3. Open a tutor profile and click Book a tutor. Choose a time, but stop before paying. Don't enter a card.
4. If a booking was created without payment, check that it shows under Bookings.
5. Click Join lesson (if available) and check that the lesson room opens with camera and microphone.
6. As a music teacher, click Teach on NISMCAA Tutor and Create your profile (use a made-up name such as "TEST David Wilson").
7. Try the earnings calculator and the Teaching Board. Do they make sense?

Repeat 2 or 3 tasks above on your phone and note:

• Does each page load and fit the screen without sideways scrolling?
• Do the menu, buttons and links work when tapped?
• Can you type into the forms easily? Does the keyboard cover anything?
• Do videos, audio and the piano play?
• Do file uploads work from your camera or photos?
• Does it work in both Safari (iPhone) and Chrome (Android)?
• Does turning the phone sideways break anything?
